Two animations from the original producer of the ‘Little Red Tractor’ series. The stories are set around Pear Tree Farm where the Richards family believe they have a working dog in Ollie the Collie. However, Ollie has other ideas. Even so, despite his lazy attitude, he always seems to win the day.
The first story is set in harvest time and revolves around a watch lost by William the farm hand. The second cartoon is in springtime when the host of flowers in Bluebell Wood attracts unwelcome visitors.
The animations are accompanied by film from real farms, including the remarkable dance of five straw balers and a detailed look at wrapping big-bale silage.

Ollie the Collie - Peter Tye
One of Ollie’s closest friends is farm-hand William who favours his trusty ‘Old Grumble’ tractor over the up-to-date machines run by his boss, Mr Richards.
The real farm footage includes a group of several balers dancing their way through their work.

Ollie in the farm kitchen with Mrs Richards and the children, Laura and Sam.
The second section on a farm shows the hay crop for silage-making and a glimpse of the real Bluebell Wood.
