This official Society of Ploughmen training video, directed and scripted by Brian Bell MBE, features two outstanding ploughmen showing their skills on demonstration plots. The video will suit the needs of those who have tried their hand at competition ploughing and wish to improve, and it is also for those who have never taken part in a ploughing match but would like to do so.
John Hill, three times world reversible ploughing champion, demonstrates all the techniques of reversible match ploughing from the setting up to the finish.
Ken Chappell MBE shows the skills needed to succeed in the modern conventional ploughing class. A former British conventional ploughing champion, Ken is currently chairman of the World Ploughing Organisation and executive director of the Society of Ploughmen.
The ploughmen highlight good practice and compare this with major ploughing faults. These examples are reinforced by David Chappell, twice British conventional ploughing champion and an experienced match judge, who shows what will catch the eye of judges at a local competition. David also narrates the programme.
