Few small tractor manufacturers have fired the imagination with so many spectacular developments as Roadless Traction Ltd. Using rare archive footage, this video tells the story of the company’s products from the tracked machines of the 1920s through to the forestry tractors of the 1980s.
Stuart Gibbard has chosen films which focus particularly on the famous Roadless four-wheel drive tractors produced during the 1960s and 70s, as well as those which uncover some lesser known developments. The video also contains conversations with some of the personalities involved, to give a real insight into the work of this pioneering British company.
