Robert Hutchison

Robert HutchinsonA native of Montreal, Canada, Robert Hutchison studied economics and political science at McGill University. He interrupted his studies to travel and begin a career in journalism. From 1961 to 1976 Hutchison was a correspondent for the Sunday and Daily Telegraph (London) during which he covered the 1967 Middle East war.

In the 1970s Robert’s articles for The Financial Post (Toronto) on international fraud and high-level corruption won him the Canadian National Business Writing Award and three citations for outstanding investigative journalism. He has also been a contributor to The Sunday Times (London) and The Smithsonian (Washington). His photographs have appeared in publications around the world.

Robert Hutchison has lived in Switzerland for more than forty years. When not writing or photographing, his favourite pastimes are ski touring in the Alps and trekking in the Himalayas.
